We started our fabric manufacturing under the name of Shamsi Cloth and General Mills back in 1954 at Garden East area – a small town of the metropolitan city of Karachi. In 1960 realizing the high demand of our products we moved to a purpose built larger factory over a two acres of land having all manufacturing processes under one roof. In 1968, Shamsi Cloth and General Mills commenced its export operations to various countries. Latest heavy duty machinery were imported from Belgium and commissioned in the year 1970. With the expansion of business and family members the Company underwent a technical transformation and established itself as Shamsi Paksitan (Pvt) Ltd in the year 1985 with its business presence in six continents of the world Shamsi Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd is now opening its doors to its fourth generation
